Transbay Transit Center Program, San Francisco, CA
The Program will provide expanded bus and rail service in a new transit center building on the site of the existing terminal at First & Mission Streets. Also included in the Program are bus ramps linking the new transit center to the Bay Bridge and to an off-site bus storage facility, a sub-surface extension of Caltrain to the new transit center building including the construction of a new sub-surface station in the vicinity of Fourth & Townsend Streets, modifications to the existing Fourth & King surface station, a temporary bus terminal for use by buses during construction of the new transit center building.
